Supporting the causes that drive its clients is part of the company’s value proposition
Washington, D.C., – December 20, 2019 – Company executives from Appraisal Logistics (ALS), a nationwide appraisal management company, traveled to New York City recently to sponsor the UNFCU Foundation annual fundraising reception. Supporters came together for a fun-filled Casino Night to ease the plight of marginalized women and children globally.
UNFCU Foundation presents its annual Women’s Empowerment Award at this reception. This year, the recipient was philanthropist Francine A. LeFrak. UNFCU Foundation partnered with the Francine A. LeFrak Foundation to strengthen and expand the Income Building Program (IBP) offered by Win (Women in Need). Win is the largest provider of shelter and services to women and children in New York City. The two foundations introduced the Francine A. LeFrak Computer Training Program as part of Win’s IBP. The IBP offers employment counseling, interview skills, as well as high school diploma preparation. The Francine A. LeFrak Computer Training Program at Win helps women living in shelters find long-term employment.
“We make decisions about our charitable contributions very carefully, because when we give we typically choose to do so generously,” said Dennis Ashcroft, ALS Executive Vice President of Sales. “We are proud to offer support to our clients and benefit impactful causes that are important to them.”

The money raised will allow the foundation to support more programs that directly benefit marginalized women and children worldwide.
